Boys XC finishes season as state runner-up

Liv O'Hara '25 (All-State) and Madeleine Wiseman '27 finished top-20 at the cross country state championship, and the boys team — led by a top-10 finish by Drew Zwerner '28 — finished second in the state.

Friday, November 8 was another fine day at the state cross country meet.

On the girls’ side, our two runners had strong performances, with Liv O’Hara '25 finishing in 13th place and All-State in her last XC race and Madeleine Wiseman '27 finishing in 20th.

The boys showed their depth in the team race, having the fastest 5th-6th-7th runners in the field, which put enough points on the other teams to solidify the boys’ state runner-up finish. Drew Zwerner '28 was the team’s top finisher in ninth (All-State), and the pack of Griffin Davidson '27, Jack Fruin '27, Clay Payne '25, and Caleb Little '28 closed out the scoring in 18th-24th-25th-27th places. Dylan Omary ran a big PR as our sixth runner, and Caleb Freifeld '28 came off injury and ran exceptionally for having not run in two weeks.
