Tigers Earn the Win on the Road

The USN Tigers secured their second district win in a fiercely contested match against the GCA Lions, with a 4-2 victory. The game was an uphill battle as the Tigers entered the second half down by a goal. Early in the half, a foul in the box allowed GCA to extend their lead with a penalty kick, making it 2-0. Refusing to back down, the Tigers rallied and fought back. Theobald '27 played a pivotal role, tirelessly pushing forward and scoring twice, with Jones '25 providing a beautiful assist to help bring USN level. Fierce '27 earned and converted a penalty kick, giving the Tigers a 3-2 lead. Defensively, McKay '25, Manoukian '27, Manoukian '28, and Rudolph '26 anchored the back line, working together to prevent the Lions from finding the net again. Chomsky '25 was stellar in goal, making 8 crucial saves to keep USN in the game.
With about 5 minutes left, USN earned a corner kick. The sideline erupted with support as the hardworking Tigers took their positions. Crane '27 capitalized on a perfectly delivered corner from O'Hara '25, sealing the victory with a goal that brought the score to 4-2. The Tigers continue their district play on 9/4, riding the momentum of another strong team performance.
