12 HS students earn Scholastic Writing Awards

Congratulations to Gold Key Award recipients Alder Brandon '27, Cleo Gauthier '24, Caroline Keiper '25, Eliza Nichols '25, and Kati Tong '25 for their critical essay, flash fiction, and science fiction works.

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards South Region has recognized 20 pieces of writing by 12 University School of Nashville students. 

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards honors teenagers for their exemplary work in both writing and art. The goal is to promote teenagers' work, so it can be seen across the world. The purpose of this is to help students capture and identify their talents. With the help of their teachers, students can submit their work into one of 28 categories. Each year, USN students unlock their literary and artistic potential by submitting work to this competition. 

The following students received awards for their writing in this year's program.
