Last chance: Add a pumpkin book character to the patch

Have a spooktacular design in mind for a pumpkin book character? Decorate an artificial pumpkin and bring it to school by Friday, November 3 to be displayed in the Hassenfeld Library's pumpkin patch.
By Emily Theobald, LS Librarian

This October, University School of Nashville's Hassenfeld Library will host a Book Character Showcase, and we want your help. This is a fun activity to do as a family or for students to get creative on their own.

Directions:
  1. Choose a favorite book character.
  2. Use an artificial pumpkin to start your project. You can use paper, glue, paint, pipe cleaners, fabric, or other craft items to turn the pumpkin into the book character of your choice.
  3. Bring your pumpkin character to school anytime in October. We will display them in the Hassenfeld Library and in the Kindergarten Atrium.
Questions? Contact LS Librarian Emily Theobald via email. We can't wait to see your favorite characters.
