University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers Pitches Well, But Can't Find Enough Runs in Loss to Goodpasture Christian Varsity Cougars

Both teams were strong on the hill on Monday, but Goodpasture Christian Varsity Cougars was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers on Monday. Quinn Powers started the game for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers and recorded 18 outs.
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers lost despite out-hitting Goodpasture Christian Varsity Cougars five to three.
 
Luke Payne led things off on the mound for Goodpasture Christian Varsity Cougars. The hurler surrendered zero runs on zero hits over two innings, striking out five.
 
Powers led things off on the pitcher's mound for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers. The righty went six innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out two.  Alexander Peck threw one-third of an inning in relief.
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers tallied one home run on the day. Peck put one out in the fifth inning.
 
Joseph Ozenne, Peck, Aidan Savona, Owen Block, and Townsend Stevenson all had one hit to lead University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers.
