No need to be bitten by a radioactive spider or emerge from a vat of toxic waste, students can harness the power of their imaginations to become heroes and comic book characters in the camps below:

BAM! POW! KAZAM! Superhero Camp

Grades 1-4
Registration fee: $175 plus $10 materials fee
Instructor: Fourth Grade Teacher Tempest Covington
June 5-9 (a.m.)
June 12-16 (a.m.)
BAM! POW! KAZAM! Kids think, dress, and act like superheroes. Kids bring their own superhero costume or make one at camp. Suiting up as their favorite superhero each day, they’ll explore their own super powers. Activities include super games, super crafts, and super fun. Where else can kids spend the day as their alter-ego superhero, meet other superheroes and save the world? Campers will need to bring a snack, refillable water bottle, superhero costume (optional), and a super attitude.

Character Con!

Grades 2-4
Registration fee: $180 plus $13 materials fee (Note: Registration is $144 on 4-day weeks)
Instructor: After School Teacher Greg Nye
June 20-23 (a.m.)
June 26-30 (a.m.)
July 3 and 5-7 (a.m.)
July 10-14 (a.m.)
Campers will have the opportunity to create a character of their choice. Superhero, child detective, or intergalactic being, the only limit is the imagination. Campers will start by learning about what makes a good character. Throughout the week they will have the opportunity to create stories, costume designs, or even character props. If you love serious books, comics, or graphic novels then here’s a chance to create a character and begin your own series. Campers will need to bring a favorite book, graphic novel, comic book, etc., and a water bottle and snack.

USN Summer Camps will be closed Monday, July 19 for Juneteenth and  Tuesday, July 4 for Independence Day. Four-day camps are offered those weeks.

Registration is open now to the USN community and general public. Email Summer Camps Director Jason Shuster with questions or for more information.
