By Mary Buxton, Library Director
Kindergarteners and first graders were treated to a special visit during their library class on Thursday, May 19. Tails That Teach Executive Director Lisa Wiehebrink joined students to share her book "Love Me Gently" with the classes.
"Love Me Gently" is a story about the adventures of a young boy learning positive interactions with his puppy. The story teaches valuable life lessons on kindness, compassion, and empathy. Each child in kindergarten and first grade was thrilled to receive a copy to share with families and friends.
Tails That Teach is a nonprofit that inspires young children to be kind to pets and people.
As longtime counselor Beth Eberl assumes the new role of Director of Counseling, we welcome Latricia Watkins, Randi Days, and Trish Buckner to work with students in Lower, Middle, and High Schools, respectively.
Students in Grades K-8 can continue their fun and learning with After School and Middle School After School from dismissal to 6 p.m. weekdays as well as on late start, early dismissal, and non-school days.
