University School of Nashville will confer diplomas upon the Class of 2022 during its Commencement at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 29 on Magnolia Lawn, immediately across the street from the school at 2000 Edgehill Ave. A reception will follow in the Auditorium.

The Class of 2022 is the 103rd graduating class from University School of Nashville, previously known as Peabody Demonstration School, since the school was founded in 1915. Twelve percent of this class was recognized for its top PSAT scores with eight National Merit Scholarship Program Semifinalists and four National Merit Commended Students. In August, these 99 graduates will head to more than 60 colleges and universities across the country. At least six of them plan to play a sport (basketball, track and field) at the collegiate level.

The 19th Avenue lot is reserved for those who need accessibility parking accommodations; please help us keep that lot free for those who need it. All other guests are welcomed to park in USN's 21st Avenue lot. Overflow parking is available across the street from the 19th Avenue parking lot (Vanderbilt ROTC lot) or Lot 77. USN will run shuttles to Magnolia Lawn beginning at 12:30 p.m. Click here for a map. Graduating students are expected to park in Vanderbilt’s Lot 77 and should arrive at the Hassenfeld Library by 12:30 p.m.

Beneath a large white tent, nearly 2,000 seats will be available to families, friends, and faculty. A section of immediate family seating is reserved at the front of the tent nearest the stage. For special accommodations for a handicapped guest, contact High School Administrative Assistant Laura Snow.

A medical tent will be set up on-site, and a USN bus will double as a cooling station for the event. Water will be located throughout the venue.

In the event of inclement weather, check usn.org for updates. Day of, USN may use its Emergency Alert system to inform students and families of changes.
