Fourteen Middle School mathletes participated in the Austin Peay State University Middle School Mathematics Contest. Sixth graders Sam Hubbell ’28, Lydia Kim ’28, Greta Molvig ’28, Ishaan Nachnani ’28, and Krish Nachnani ’28 took first place in their grade level, and Krish was the grade’s top individual scorer.

Middle School math enthusiasts in grades 6-8 spent April 7 in Clarksville for the Austin Peay State University Middle School Mathematics Contest.
According to APSU, the contest is designed to “stimulate interest in mathematics by encouraging more students to include mathematics in their programs of study thereby raising the mathematics competence level in Tennessee; and to honor those students who are outstanding in their knowledge of mathematics …”
Krish Nachnani ’28 took first place at the sixth grade individual level. What’s more, USN’s sixth grade placed first too. Congratulations to Krish and teammates Sam Hubbell ’28, Lydia Kim ’28, Greta Molvig ’28, and Ishaan Nachnani ’28.
In seventh grade, Charlie Blau ’27, Eliya Brandes ’27, Lucia Gellert ’27, Ruchika Ramachandran ’27, and Dylan Omary '27 represented USN. Charlie and Lucia scored in the top 20 at 11th and 14th respectively.
Jackson Green ’26, Evan Giles ’26, Maeve Stevenson ’26, and Claire Ward ’26 represented USN’s eighth grade and collectively placed fourth in the grade. Jackson scored second individually, and Evan scored seventh. Congratulations to all our dedicated scholars.
As part of a longstanding tradition, retired teachers and professionals from USN over the years came together to celebrate, connect, and reminisce during their annual luncheon in Durnan Auditorium.
It is common to have five or more University School of Nashville student-athletes sign college athletic commitment letters each year, and this year, USN saw eight more student-athletes commit to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. USN has several alumni participating in their chosen sport at the collegiate level from the Classes of 2021 through 2025.
