By Richard Espenant, HS French Teacher
French Teachers Richard Espenant and Alissa Murdoch inducted four new students into the French Honor Society on Monday, March 29.
The society recognizes students “for their academic excellence and passion for francophone culture,” Espenant said.
Founded by the American Association of the Teachers of French, the French Honor Society’s motto is, “Someone who knows two languages is worth two people.”
The following students were recognized for their academic excellence and passion for French culture:
William Grobmyer '22
Reid Murray '22
Simon Rosenblum '23
Frederick Rudolph '23
Students recited the society’s oath before faculty sponsors, one of last year's inductees, Isaac Chomsky '22, and the photographer for the event HS Spanish Teacher Kate Sullivan. Students received Honor Society pins and certificates too. The ceremony concluded with a small reception. Congratulations to our new inductees.
