Local ways to celebrate, honor King's legacy

School will be closed on Monday, January 17 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. USN's Office of Diversity & Community Life encourages students and families to make the best use of this day on by learning more about the civil rights leader or engaging in an act of service to honor his legacy.

On Monday, January 17, our country will celebrate the 93rd birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We encourage you to honor the civil rights leader's life and legacy by engaging more deeply in the work that King did; below is a list of recommended local opportunities to do so:
