Lower School parents may recall "The Power of Showing Up" being referenced in August during our Parent Night presentations as we shared the four S's for showing up with our kids: safe, seen, soothed, and secure. We are pleased to announce an in-depth discussion of this book that will take place over three sessions during March, April, and May.
Join us for one or all sessions as we explore the ways we can be present for our children. During a year that has left many feeling isolated, we invite you to find community and connection among fellow LS parents as we navigate the art of imperfect, yet present, parenting.
The book club will take place over Zoom with the following schedule: Chapters 1-3: Wednesday, March 10 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Chapters 4-5: Wednesday, April 7 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Chapter 6 & Conclusion: Wednesday, May 5 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
To ensure we have a group large enough to inspire an engaging conversation about the book, we ask that you RSVP to Lower School Administrative Assistant Annie Stewart to let us know that you plan to attend one or more of the sessions.
