Sophomore Student Council partners with Junkdrop

Learn how you can help the Class of 2023 and give back to the community by supporting this local business run by an alumnus.
By the Class of 2023 Student Council

To promote community engagement and raise funds, the sophomore student council is partnering with Junkdrop, a local business run by USN alumnus Walter Hindman '15. Junkdrop is a removal service with a philanthropic business model — customers pay to have unwanted items removed from their homes and businesses that are then donated to a variety of local charities like Habitat for Humanity and the Oasis Center.

Friday, October 9 through Monday, October 19, Junkdrop has agreed to donate a percentage of its daily profits to the Sophomore Student Council. If you need any furniture, old clothes, or other unwanted items removed, organize a pickup with Junkdrop by texting 615-497-4786 and use the code "Sophomore Stuco," so staff know you heard about the company through our Student Council fundraiser.

Note: Junkdrop adheres to all current masking and distancing mandates, but if you are uncomfortable with the team entering your home, you can also leave your unwanted items outside for pickup, for which they will provide a 20% discount. For more information, visit the Junkdrop website.
