Summer book clubs offer connections with other readers

Rising Middle School and High School students can connect with friends and classmates, and get new ideas for books to read, by joining a book club over the summer.

By Kate Pritchard, MS/HS Librarian

Rising fifth through eighth grade students can join the weekly MS Book Club led by MS/HS Librarian Kate Pritchard, which meets on Wednesday afternoons at 3 p.m. Meetings include time to talk about what we’re reading, listen to a read-aloud, and play games. To sign up for this group, send an email to kpritchard@email.usn.org.

Rising ninth through 12th grade students can join the High School Book Club’s meetings, which are a fun and informal place to chat about books and ask other students for recommendations (including, but not limited to, the Summer Reading Lists). Students can sign up for the club by filling out this form.

Whether you come to just one meeting or every single one, new members of both groups are welcome anytime.
