Erica Friedman, a junior in Advanced Placement United States History, took her research paper to the regional Tennessee History Day Competition. Her paper won, and she will take it to the State History Day competition (to be conducted virtually). "United We Stand: Chinese Triumph Over America's Exclusion Era" is the name of her award-winning work.
Peabody Demonstration School's first African-American graduate passed away September 3, 2025. Cassandra Teague Walker '67 returned to her alma mater many times to share her experiences with young students and is featured on the 21st Avenue garage mural.
