Future health care leaders compete in regional meet
Erica '21 earned fourth place and will present in the medical photography category at the state competition this spring.

Three USN High School students competed during the Health Occupations Students of America regional competition on Friday, January 17.
Erica Friedman '21 created a portfolio and presentation depicting and describing three facets of the medical community in the medical photography category. She placed fourth in the region and qualified for the competition during the Tennessee HOSA State Leadership Conference at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in April.
Natalie Wright ’21 and Somya Singh ’21 teamed up to compete in the forensics science event. They were presented with a case study describing a mysterious death and used details to determine the time and cause of death.
HOSA is an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education with the mission of promoting career opportunities in the health care industry and enhancing the delivery of quality health care to all people.
