French Teachers Richard Espenant and Robin Lynn Clinard ’88 inducted 10 students into USN’s new French Honor Society on Friday, March 8.
“These new inductees have shown and proven a deep interest in the beautiful French language as well as excellence in all French classes by maintaining an A average every semester in their HS education,” Espenant said.
Founded by the American Association of the Teachers of French, the French Honor Society’s motto is, “Someone who knows two languages is worth two people.”

As part of a longstanding tradition, retired teachers and professionals from USN over the years came together to celebrate, connect, and reminisce during their annual luncheon in Durnan Auditorium.
It is common to have five or more University School of Nashville student-athletes sign college athletic commitment letters each year, and this year, USN saw eight more student-athletes commit to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. USN has several alumni participating in their chosen sport at the collegiate level from the Classes of 2021 through 2025.
