5th grade girls lacrosse shows much improvement

From starting whistle to end, the Tigers gained so much experience and knowledge!
The 5th grade girls lacrosse team came to their first game on Monday without having set foot on a lacrosse field before!  We have been working hard to learn as much as we can about fundamentals, concepts and strategies, and all the rules!

The girls were incredibly eager to play and quickly learned how tiring the game can be!  Clara Smail, Annie Cox, and Sophia Ollila worked hard in the midfield to run the length of the field from attack to defense.  Kate Vaughn and Maria Gamboa were strong on defense, keeping their sticks in the passing lanes and knocking down the ball!

We had three brand new goalies eager to help their team--Emma Schwarz, Annie Cox, and Sophia Ollila all suited up for the first time!  Each one made some saves and learned how difficult that position can be!

Although we were outscored by Oak Hill, we look forward to facing them again next Monday at the River Campus.  Go Tigers!
