USNA discusses raising anti-racist kids at 6 p.m. July 9

USNA will host a talk with Mona Ivey-Soto on how to cultivate anti-racism in children and schools on Thursday, July 9 at 6 p.m.
Ivey-Soto is an Associate Professor in the Education Department at Belmont University and teaches extensively on issues of racial inequality within K-12 schools and how teachers can utilize social justice pedagogy as a way to combat systemic racism within the classroom and the broader community. She prides herself on being an academic who is deeply committed to urban schools and community-based programs and she seeks to learn alongside children, families, and those who advocate for justice for children and families every day.
