It was great afternoon, Wednesday, in Cheek gym for the JV Cardinal volleyball team. The Tigers defeated Valor 2-1. After taking the first set handily, the Tigers found themselves in a pretty deep hole they could not climb out of in the second set. In the final set, the JV Cardinal Tigers rose to the occasion to win the match! This was a full team effort indeed. Setters Charlotte S. and Maddie R did an awesome job hustling to get the first pass up for our hitters. Elinor B, Amelie S. Zoe R. played excellent defense at the net and provided some offensive pop as well. Hattie B, MJ Bass, Sylvie M, and Hadley G. were awesome on the back line, getting the ball to our setters, against a good serving team. Indigo P. served lights-out, taking our team on several runs in each set. Go, Tigers!
As part of a longstanding tradition, retired teachers and professionals from USN over the years came together to celebrate, connect, and reminisce during their annual luncheon in Durnan Auditorium.
It is common to have five or more University School of Nashville student-athletes sign college athletic commitment letters each year, and this year, USN saw eight more student-athletes commit to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. USN has several alumni participating in their chosen sport at the collegiate level from the Classes of 2021 through 2025.
