Debate Success in Michigan

USN Debate had three teams finish with winning records at the University of Michigan this past weekend.
USN Debate had three teams finish with winning records at the University of Michigan this past weekend.
In the varsity division, Colin Kolodziej and Silas Wuerth finished with a 5-2 record in the 164 team field after impressive victories over teams from Carrolton Sacred Heart (FL), New Trier (IL), and Stuyvesant (NYC) . Their total of 399.7 speaker points left them .1 of a point short of the elimination rounds.
The novice teams of Akash Kurupassery and Jessica Mei and William Bradshaw and Jack Cahill finished with 4-3 records. Akash was recognized as the 19th speaker in the novice division.
