For the love of readingFall Book Frenzy


University School of Nashville’s annual book sale puts 10,000 within affordable reach every September. Everyone likes to curl up with a good book, and the University School of Nashville Association has the perfect opportunity at its Fall Book Frenzy. Join us in USN’s Cheek Gym for an incredible sale of new and gently used books, each $5 or less. Choose options to educate and inspire readers of all ages and explore countless subjects. Games and puzzles are also on hand. The $10 bag sale, known as the “bibliophile feeding frenzy” will take place at 2 p.m. This event is free, open to the general public, and benefits USN’s Hassenfeld Library, Metro Nashville Public Schools, Conexión Américas, The Susan Gray School, Goodwill, and the Nashville Book Connection. Public school teachers and nonprofit leaders also may fill two bags with books of their choice at no cost to restock their bookshelves.

September Family CelebrationFall Fest

This annual “fun” raiser is a fabulous family affair, held outdoors on the Edgehill Campus in September. Highlights of this school-wide event include delicious food from Dads’ Alliance and local food trucks, carnival games, bounce houses, music, and so much more. Fall Book Frenzy will also be open for shopping during Fall Fest.
 
Fall Fest will be fun for all ages and is a great way to connect with other USN families, and Fall Book Frenzy is also open on Friday to the USN community from 12-7pm that day.

Volunteers are needed to help with set-up and to work shifts during the evening. For more information, contact Grace Ann Lukach.

Every October, Artclectic brings together University School of Nashville’s finest elements – volunteer spirit, community outreach, and art appreciation. This glorious display of art includes events for parents, students, alumni, and our neighbors and friends.
 
From coordinating with artists to leading children’s activities to planning parties, more than 100 volunteers organize and staff this three-day fundraiser.
Proceeds support innovative teaching by providing funds for attending workshops, exploring new ways of teaching, and researching innovative and visionary ideas to share with our students and our community.

Learn, Live, LaughEvening Classes

These unique, useful, and universally praised classes have brightened up winter evenings. Held January through March, classes are open to the entire Nashville community.

USN Evening Classes are planned, organized and often presented by USN parents and faculty as well as Nashville restauranteurs and entrepreneurs. Leaders in their field, volunteer instructors present classes on cooking, gardening, writing, home renovation, technology, arts and hobbies, and much more. Proceeds benefit USN's K-12 Need-Based Scholarship Endowment.

A Musical Evening OutMusic Night

Music Night is a lively yet intimate evening of music that features some of Nashville’s finest musicians and showcases the wide range of talent of USN parents and alumni. Every year, this exclusive event amazes the audience with an unforgettable night of music, food, and drink. 
 
Music Night is typically held in February in the Durnan Auditorium. It’s a perfect night to bring a date, hang out with old friends, or meet new people. Volunteers are needed to help with set up, check-in, and clean up on the day of the event. Proceeds from Music Night benefit a variety of USN departments and programs.
