Nashville, TN- The Tigers had a strong defensive showing in the first half of Tuesday night’s game against FRA, but their own shooting slump proved too much to overcome. The Tigers rallied in the second half to close the lead powered by junior Kate Vaughn and senior Stella Shan who led the team in points and rebounds respectively. Shan was recognized as the team’s sole senior after the game. According to coaches and players she has demonstrated excellent leadership this year, and hopes to continue her progression at William and Mary next year as a team manager for their women’s program. The Tigers return to competition this Friday at home against Battle Ground Academy.
Nashville, TN- Sperling Gymnasium was PACKED for this year’s homecoming games. The pep band, students, and families showed up and showed out as the Tigers fought against GCA. USN started the game with their best start of the season, leading 14-13 after the first quarter. GCA came back strong, and although the Tigers ultimately fell, they had their strongest showing of the year, and have been marked as a team that has improved in huge ways. Nashville, TN- Friday night our basketball teams went head to head with the Middle Tennessee Christian School. It was a hard fought game, and although short handed, the Tigers fought hard throughout the game. Uma Peters had a standout performance as she led the Tigers with 8 points. USN returns to competition on Friday the 20th against Grace Christian Academy for their Homecoming game.
Nashville, TN- In Tuesday’s contest vs. Providence Christian the Tigers continue their upward momentum. Although they came up short of a victory, USN showed huge offensive improvement and remains undeterred in their goal of constant and consistent improvement. Kate Vaughn posted a season high 11 points while leading the Tigers on both offense and defense. The Tigers return to competition Friday against Middle Tennessee Christian School in Murfreesboro, TN.
Nashville, TN- On Saturday, 01/07/2023, The Tigers won their first game of the season! USN played excellent defense forcing over 30 turnovers and tallying over 20 steals against the Warriors. Our team welcomed major contributions from Sophomore Anna Piccasso, and Freshmen Nevaeh Mitchell and Addi King. Coach Olson celebrated his first career coaching victory with his all-time favorite, chips and queso. The Tigers return to competition this Tuesday at home vs Providence Christian Academy.
