The First Bit of Graffiti Has Appeared so....
...School must have started.
I don't condone graffiti, but after I read it the first thought that came to mind was USN is one of very few schools in the world where a mischievous student would choose to write this on a wall: "Only in stories do people die in a way that reveals their true selves."
Alumni will also be interested to know that this year we have five children of alumni joining the USN student body bringing the total number to well over 60.
Tobey Beaver '02 is joining our faculty...as you can clearly see in the headline below.
Tobey Beaver comes from a long line of teachers and always knew she wanted to go into the family business.

In June 2011, University School was awarded a $50,000 challenge grant from the Edward E. Ford Foundation to establish a solar panel installation at our River Campus, a project that will strengthen our long-standing commitment to making environmentally sound decisions as it increases opportunities for innovative curricula.
Need to free up some space on your bookshelves? Wondering what to do with that software your kids have outgrown? Tripping over toys and games? Recycle your books, CDs, DVDs, games, puzzles, toys and software by donating them to USNA’s huge annual used-book sale, the Fall Book Frenzy.
At the end of last year, we sent out copies of the schools summer reading list. Now we have created a survey to find out a little bit about your reading choices.
Just click here
to take the survey. It won't take more than a few minutes....I promise!
McKenzie Andrews, a 2011 graduate of University School, is heading to Taiwan on a scholarship from the U.S. State Department.
Was it too hot to play golf this past summer? Prepare to get those clubs out and tee it up in what should be ideal fall weather at USNA’s “Drive For The Green” fundraiser at Gaylord Springs Golf Links on Sunday, October 9.
USN welcomes new teachers with a wealth of experience to the faculty in all three divisions.
