Table Set for Successful Postseason

Congrats to our Tigers on successfully completing a long, full-day meet!  A few noteworthy happenings:

Isha '19 and Wyatt '21 both had great races and big drops to earn their first region qualifying times (Isha from 1:34 to 1:28 in the 100 breast, Wyatt from 2:21 to 2:16 in the 200 free), which means that 100% of our team has earned spots at the Region meet!  That's unprecedented for USN swimming since the region meet qualifying times were introduced.

William G. punched his ticket to the state meet in the 100 breast and has LOADS of space to get better.

Kursten won the 200 and 50 freestyles with meet records in both races.  Our girls' 200 free relay (Lucy, Mia, Tatiana, Kursten) took first place as well.  Elliott '19 won the 50 breast, and Sage destroyed the field in the 200 IM.  Arianna, Tatiana, Lucy, and Arnav all picked up new region cuts of their own.

Our relays were strong, with great contributions across the board, and we finished very strong (see: Lucy's 1:02.3 and William's 53.4 splits at the close of the meet).

THIS is why we went -- to get new cuts, to race together, and to build momentum towards our championship performances. I'm sure I'm missing some people here -- this was a really nice showing from so many of you: you were cohesive, spirited when it counts, tuned in (mostly) to the details of hydration and warmdown, and that allowed us to be successful through a long day.
