Join University School of Nashville at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 as Columbia University Teachers College Associate Professor of History and Education Ansley T. Erickson shares reflections from her book "Making the Unequal Metropolis: School Desegregation and Its Limits." Focused on the evolving educational landscape of Nashville over nearly seven decades, Erickson examines school policies and how land-use decisions, the pursuit of economic growth, and curricula have shaped ongoing injustices in the way students learn and are taught.
Parnassus will be on hand for the evening with copies of the book to buy and have signed. This event is free and open to the public. Parking and the school entrance are accessible from 19th Avenue South.
