Generals even record at 1-1

Greg Anderson
The Harding Generals traveled to Mount Juliet for their second game of the year against Mt. Juliet Christian Academy on Thursday, Sept. 6. It was a three week break between game 1 and game 2, which allowed Harding's 15 players to rest, heal and prepare. The time off proved to be a huge positive as the Generals came out on top, 34-18.

Chase Franck (HA '19) had a huge night rushing the ball from the quarterback position. Franck had 3 touchdown runs and tallied over 200 yds rushing. Walker Derryberry (HA '20) also scored twice, once on a touchdown run from his tailback position and again on an interception return. Conor Corby (HA '19)  intercepted a pass and the Generals defense had several fumble recoveries to win the turnover battle. Derryberry was 4 of 5 on PAT's for Harding.

The varsity team is back in action next week with the annual Spirit Game against Central Catholic at Sohr Family Track and Field at 4:30pm on Thursday, Sept. 13. Go Generals!!
