Middle School musical brings Shrek, fairy-tale friends to USN

A host of Disney characters join an ogre, a princess, a talking donkey, and a sassy cat in this year's Middle School musical, on stage Wednesday, Aug. 16 through Saturday, Aug. 19. Click here to reserve tickets, which are $8 for general admission and free for Tiger Arts Patrons, faculty, and staff.
University School of Nashville's Middle School Theater is proud to present its 2017 production of DreamWorks' "Shrek The Musical JR." Join Shrek and Donkey on their trek to find the imprisoned Princess Fiona and deliver her to the perfect Lord Farquaad. Will true love win the day? Join us to find out.

All shows take place in Ingram Hall at Vanderbilt University, Blair School of Music. Tickets are $8 and available online at www.usn.org/musicals. Auditorium doors open 20 minutes prior to show time. Any unclaimed reservations will be released for resale 5 minutes prior to the start of the show. "Shrek The Musical JR." is appropriate for all ages. Shows run approximately 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. Showtimes are:

  • 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17 featuring the Swamp Cast
  • 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18 featuring the Duloc Cast
