High school students and faculty alike were delighted to have the Leaky Pen essay contest return this year.
After a one-year hiatus, the Leaky Pen essay contest reemerged, as Susan Yeagley '89 and Kevin Nealon asked seniors to be funny. This essay contest, open to USN seniors, invites students to earn fame and fortune ($1,000 prize) for a humorous essay. This year's topic, "Who would have left THAT here," prompted some fabulous responses.
Each year, we send the essays off to Los Angeles to be judged by Susan Yeagley, Kevin Nealon, and a celebrity guest. The announcement comes by way of video-- filmed, this year, at Adam Sandler's house (you can watch the announcement HERE).
Congratulations are in order to Isaiah Frank '17 and Ella Stack '17 for their winning essays. We hope you'll read their essays, laugh, and congratulate them when you see them!
