USN defeats ECS to make the Final Four

It was a cloudy day in Jackson, TN as we set out to play Evangelical Christian School to try and make our way back to the state final four. We started the afternoon with singles and we jumped out to a quick start. Both Henry '23 at line 1 and Simon '24 at line 5 each won their matches 6-1, 6-0. ECS then countered and won at lines 3 and 4, which tied the total match count at two all. Bennett '23 was the last singles match on and ended up giving us the match lead 3-2 with a 6-4, 6-4 win at line 2. Heading into doubles, we just needed to win one out of the two matches. In dominating fashion, the line 1 team of Henry '23 and Bennett '23 secured our ticket to the final four with an 8-2 win over their opponent. We will play CAK in the State Semifinals in Murfreesboro on Tuesday, May 23 at 11:00am. Go Tigers!
