Goodpasture Christian Varsity Cougars Runs Away With Early Lead in Victory
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 11-0 loss to Goodpasture Christian Varsity Cougars on Friday.
The University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Goodpasture Christian Varsity Cougars, giving up 11 runs.
Goodpasture Christian Varsity Cougars got on the board in the first inning. Logan Harrell was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.
One bright spot for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers was a single by Mahoney Daunic in the second inning.
Harrell got the win for Goodpasture Christian Varsity Cougars. The fireballer allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking zero.
Aidan Savona was on the mound for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers. The righty went two innings, allowing six runs on two hits and striking out two. Alexander Peck and Grant Reilly entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.
Goodpasture Christian Varsity Cougars socked two home runs on the day. Carson Rucker had a dinger in the second inning. Jaron Elkins went for the long ball in the fifth inning.
Daunic, Dylan Washko, and Townsend Stevenson each collected one hit to lead University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers.
Elkins led Goodpasture Christian Varsity Cougars with two hits in two at bats.
