University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers Victorious Franklin Road Academy Varsity Panthers Thanks to Sixth Inning Boost

University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers defeated Franklin Road Academy Varsity Panthers 19-2 on Friday thanks to a timely 11 runs in a big sixth inning.  The big inning was thanks to singles by Dylan Washko, Aidan Savona, Joseph Ozenne, Harrison Fitzgibbon, and Owen Block, walks by Grant Reilly and Andrew Walker, fielder's choices by Carson Darr and Savona, and a double by Alexander Peck.
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers tallied 11 runs in the sixth inning.  Peck, Washko, Savona, Ozenne, Fitzgibbon, and  Reilly each had RBIs in the frame.
 
Townsend Stevenson took the win for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers. Stevenson allowed five hits and two runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out nine.  Quinn Powers threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.
 
Christian Howell took the loss for Franklin Road Academy Varsity Panthers. The pitcher allowed seven hits and 11 runs over five innings, striking out six.
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers tallied two home runs on the day. Peck went deep in the fourth inning. Stevenson put one out in the fourth inning.
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers racked up 12 hits.  Stevenson, Block, Peck, Fitzgibbon, and Ozenne all had multiple hits for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers.  Ozenne, Fitzgibbon, Peck, Block, and Stevenson each managed two hits to lead University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers.  University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Block led the way with two.  University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Washko had the most chances in the field with nine.
 
Ty Lively led Franklin Road Academy Varsity Panthers with two hits in three at bats.
