Late Score Costs University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers Against Grace Christian Academy Varsity Lions

Monday's game against Grace Christian Academy Varsity Lions was a heartbreaker for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers, as they lost the lead late in a 7-5 defeat.  Grace Christian Academy Varsity Lions trailed 5-4 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Jordan Carter homered on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
 
Grace Christian Academy Varsity Lions got things started in the first inning when Carter hit a solo homer.
 
In the top of the second inning, University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers tied things up at two when Harrison Fitzgibbon homered on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.
 
Silas Jones earned the victory on the hill for Grace Christian Academy Varsity Lions. Jones lasted five innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out nine and walking one.  Benjamin Caldwell threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
 
Quinn Powers took the loss for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers. The righthander went one and one-third innings, allowing three runs on two hits and striking out one.
 
Owen Block started the game for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers. The righty lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out four Hudson Barton started the game for Grace Christian Academy Varsity Lions. The hurler allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking zero
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers hit two home run on the day. Fitzgibbon had a homer in the second and fifth innings.
 
Fitzgibbon went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers in hits.
 
Grace Christian Academy Varsity Lions scattered eight hits in the game.  Carter, Trace Phillips, and Owen Brewer all managed multiple hits for Grace Christian Academy Varsity Lions.
