Big Third Inning Propels University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers Win Over Battle Ground Academy Varsity Wildcats ‘23
 
Six runs in the third inning led University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers past Battle Ground Academy Varsity Wildcats ‘23 8-2 on Tuesday.  The offensive onslaught came from singles by Owen Block and Aidan Savona, a walk by Dylan Washko, and a sac fly by Harrison Fitzgibbon.
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers fired up the offense in the first inning.  An error scored one run for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers.
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers notched six runs in the third inning.  Block, Washko, Fitzgibbon, and Savona all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
 
Townsend Stevenson got the win for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers. Stevenson surrendered one run on four hits over six innings, striking out 13.  Quinn Powers threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
 
Colin Belshaw took the loss for Battle Ground Academy Varsity Wildcats ‘23. The pitcher went two and a third innings, allowing seven runs on two hits and striking out three.
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers racked up seven hits on the day.  Washko and Mahoney Daunic all collected multiple hits for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers.  Daunic and Washko all had two hits to lead University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers.
