Early Lead For Columbia Academy Seals Fate For University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers

University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 6-2 loss to Columbia Academy on Monday.  Columbia Academy took the lead on a groundout in the second inning.
 
University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers lost despite out-hitting Columbia Academy four to three.
 
Columbia Academy pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning.  In the second Austin Grooms grounded out, scoring one run.
 
Columbia Academy scored three runs in the third inning.  Knox Love, Andy Reed, and Grooms all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
 
Gunner Skelton was the winning pitcher for Columbia Academy. The ace lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out ten.
 
Townsend Stevenson took the loss for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers. The pitcher lasted four and a third innings, allowing three hits and five runs while striking out five and walking one.
 
Mahoney Daunic, Alexander Peck, Owen Block, and Aidan Savona each managed one hit to lead University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers.
 
Columbia Academy didn't commit a single error in the field. Noah Gibson had  ten chances in the field, the most on the team.
