Debate season kicks off with Yale Invitational
Read on for results from the debate team's first competition of the season held online Friday, Sept. 17 – Sunday, Sept. 19.

The varsity pairing of Nell Cox '22 and Luke Kim '23 had a fine start to the season at the online Yale Invitational Debate last weekend, Sept. 17–19.
Though the competition drew schools from nine states, the USN squad experienced a New York-heavy draw. Nell and Luke finished preliminary competition with a 4-2 record including wins over The Bronx HS of Science (New York), Mamaroneck HS (New York), and Stuyvesant HS (New York), as well as a very close loss to the undefeated number one seed from George Washington HS (Colorado).
Nell and Luke advanced to the quarterfinal round Sunday morning, where they dropped a 3-0 decision to Bronx Science. Congrats to Nell and Luke!
