Congratulations to Caroline Keiper '25, Collin Chan '25, Ophelia Cherry-Pulay '25, and Rohan Ramachandran '25 who placed 16th in the nation at the National Academic Quiz Tournament's Middle School National Championship. Rohan placed 11th individually, as well.

Middle School Quiz Bowl took two teams to the NAQT 2021 Middle School National Championship Tournament held virtually on May 1–2 finishing an outstanding season with a strong finale.
112 of the nation's best teams faced off in the tournament. Collin Chan '25, Caroline Keiper '25, Ophelia Cherry-Pulay '25, and Rohan Ramachandran '25 went 6-2 in the preliminaries, thereby earning them the 10th seed in the playoffs. They won two matches in the playoffs, ultimately tying for 16th in the country. Individually, Rohan was the 11th highest scorer in the tournament and was named a Quiz Bowl All-Star, as a result.
John Bivens '25, Beckett Dahir '25, Jackson Green '26, Alice Littlehale '26, and Brendan West '25 went 3-5 in the preliminary round. While the team will say farewell to several key members as they advance to the High School, MS Quiz Bowl has many promising, young members and looks forward to next season.
University of Virginia selected Margot Ross '24 to be a Jefferson Scholar. The highly selective scholarship includes the full cost of attending UVA for four years of study as well as numerous enrichment opportunities. It has been 16 years since a University School of Nashville senior last became a Jefferson Scholar.
