The High School Community Service Club is partnering with two schools in the Metro Nashville Public Schools system, Ensworth, and Harpeth Hall to collect books for families in the South Nashville area.

Spanish and Arabic books are especially needed, but English books are welcome too. Books donated will go to students with a wide range of ages and reading levels; some examples of what they are looking for are:
  • Lower/Elementary School
    • Children's Books
  • Middle School/High School
    • Graphic Novels
    • Manga
    • Humor
    • Horror/Suspense
    • Spanish and Spanish/English Bilingual
    • Arabic and Arabic/ English Bilingual
Specific books the schools are looking for can be found on the Amazon wish list here and can be delivered directly to USN for donation collection. Bins for donations will be located in the 19th Avenue lobby from Monday, April 19 through Friday, April 30, and you can also donate to HS Community Service on the MySchoolWallet app.

“Reading is so important for learning and development, not to mention that it’s just super fun, so we want to do our part helping these families get access to a variety of reads,” said Community Service Club Book Drive Co-Chair Sheerea Yu '23.

Thank you in advance for your support of these schools and families in South Nashville.
