Celebrate Read A Book Day on September 6

Our library offers numerous ways to keep yourself (and your students) fully stocked with books to read. With National Read a Book Day on Saturday, September 6, there's no better time to start a new book in whichever format you prefer; click through to learn more about how you can take advantage of our many offerings.

Below are the many ways in which you can access that book you've been waiting to read.

Curbside Pickup
We continue to offer contactless curbside pickup for library books every week during remote learning. Pickup times are Tuesdays, 1–3 p.m. and Fridays, 9–11 a.m. To request books for pickup, visit our library catalog. Students have their own accounts, and parent accounts are available by request. For help logging in, to set up a new account, or for assistance reserving a book, email Library Assistant Catherine Lemaire Lozier.

Sora
We now provide a large collection of e-books and audiobooks through the Sora app. Instructions for logging into Sora are on our LibGuides and in this video. If there’s a book you want in e-book or audio format, ask a librarian if we can add it to Sora.

Epic!
All K–5 families have access to Epic! School during school hours. K–5 teachers will share unique class codes for Epic! with their students. Lower School families can learn more about Epic! in the Lower School Technology Access Guide.

But What Should I Read?
We offer personal recommendations by email or through this form. Ask for suggestions, or even pick up a stack of books that we’ve put together just for you at curbside pickup. For more ideas about what to read, visit our What Should I Read? LibGuide, where we’ve collected award lists, themed booklists, and other tools that can help you find a book you’ll love.
