In the News: Georgia '24, Sheeline '21

Two USN students have been serenading the elderly on violin during Nashville's Safer at Home Order and were featured in The Tennessean.
Georgia Martin '24 and Sheeline Yu '21 have been giving private performances on the violin through video conferencing apps to some of the oldest people effected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It makes you feel really nice to play for them ... I was sad for missing out on a lot of recitals. But I’m helping people have a better day, and that motivates me,” Georgia told The Tennessean.

“We’re lucky. We’re at home, we’re safe and we can still play,” Sheeline also told the paper. “We, at least, want to use our music to make someone’s day more interesting.”
