News from Edgehill Regarding COVID-19

The Alumni & Development Office shared the following message with alumni and their parents at 2 p.m. March 13 regarding the impact of the novel coronavirus on the Tiger Give Back Challenge & Kickoff Party and Reunion.
Dear alumni and parents of alumni,

On Thursday, Director Vince Durnan announced we will move to remote learning to do our part to help curb the spread of the novel coronavirus. Although our doors on Edgehill are not open to USN families, the school is still operating with students learning, faculty teaching, and staff working from their homes following Spring Break. We are committed to social distancing, are sensitive to the global concern over COVID-19, and have suspended campus events until further notice.

The Tiger Give Back Challenge and Kickoff Party, originally scheduled for March 25-26, are postponed. We are thankful for the hundreds of volunteers who committed to help during the Challenge and Alumni March Madness bracket, and we look forward to celebrating our community at a later date.

As of today, Reunion plans continue for the weekend of April 30-May 2, when we will gather to recognize the classes ending in zeros and fives and welcome alumni of the Class of 1970 into the Gold Circle recognizing their 50th Reunion. You’ll keep hearing updates from 2000 Edgehill and also can visit usn.org/coronavirus where we are sharing more information regularly.

We are hopeful, in these difficult days, that the USN community will continue to feel the support of those who care deeply about our school. If you were planning to make a gift to the school, please know that it will resonate in a special way right now

Thank you for all the good wishes coming our way. The safety and well-being of our worldwide PDS/USN community are paramount to us, and we are working hard to get this right. We’re determined to weather this challenging period and to do our part on the public health front too.

With appreciation,
The Alumni & Development Office

P.S. If you are in Nashville and willing to volunteer childcare for USN parents essential to caring for society — doctors, nurses, pharmacists, grocers — please email Alumni Director Patti Wexler.
