Middle School inaugurates Quiz Bowl Team as champion
Seventh and eighth graders brought home the first-place trophy from their first Quiz Bowl tournament, and Isaac '24 ranked No. 1 out of more than 140 students. Alexander '24, Brendan '25, and Sarah '24 also finished in the top 20.

University School of Nashville's brand new Middle School Quiz Bowl Team won the 2020 White Station Middle School Invitational in Memphis. Competing against 32 teams from three states, the Middle School Quiz Bowl Team also took fifth and 21st places. As a result, two USN teams qualified for the Middle School National Championship in Chicago in May.

As a result, two USN teams qualified for the Middle School National Championship in Chicago in May.
It was the first tournament for the team that has been practicing for just three months. Eleven USN competitors played on three teams. Each team achieved a winning record in the morning competition. Congratulations to these students: John Bivens '25, Ella Cheek '24, Alexander Clinton '24, Maya Guha '24, Laney Drew Hirt '24, Emily Law '24, Sam Luffman '25, Sarah Page-McCaw '24, Rohan Ramachandran '25, Isaac Spiller '24, and Brendan West '25.
Individually, Isaac was the overall top scorer out of the more than 140 participants. Alexander Clinton (12th), Brendan West (13th) and Sarah Page McCaw (16th) also finished in the top 20.
