USN’ers and greater Nashvillians alike were all aflutter Thursday, October 24 as pawditions for "Legally Blonde The Musical" took over the Auditorium. It was fantastic to see all the top contenders sitting, staying, barking, and licking their way through their scenes. While the casting was difficult, we know you will appreciate these canine contributors.

"Legally Blonde The Musical" opens Thursday, November 7 featuring ...

Scout Cook
Canine brother of Kylie Cook ’20, Scout came ready to impress the directors. With his creamy coat, and wearing the very latest in doggy fashion, Scout appeared both handsome, yet tough and confident in his black “Bad to the Bone” sweatshirt. His smile had all the ladies swooning as he took his turn on the stage. Scout has the look all are expecting for Bruiser. He is definite to star in his upcoming performances.

Duke the Snortapotumus Standard
Fur son of Teresa Standard, USN’s own Chief Financial Officer, Duke wowed the audition audience with his soulful looks, really utilizing his facial expressions to tug the heartstrings of all those in attendance. Duke’s burnished coat in honey tones was set off perfectly by his fashionable orange harness. Adding in his jaunty walk and a little tail wag, Duke is a heartbreaker on stage and off. Doodle Sims
Canine sibling of Millie Sims ’27 and Sadie Sims ’29, Doodle is excited to step up and take her place on the USN stage. Appearing at auditions choosing to use a minimal number of accessories, Doodle’s stature and charm were enhanced by her slim, green leash. Her soft, elegant tail flowed gently as she took to the walkway, the champagne waves of her fur appeared to be professionally tipped at the ears and nose with darker shades edging towards black which enhanced her eyes. Doodle is beauty, she is grace. She and Elle will win the case.

Bingley Daily
Bingley is proud to call High School Math Teacher Anna Dailey his Mom without fur. Bingley was a definite showstopper, the shades of his perfectly groomed coat ranging from the most delicate of off whites to the fragrant tones found in café au lait. It perfectly complemented his stylishly arranged burgundy plaid scarf. Impressing the onlookers with a tongue just made for giving kisses, Bingley is one dapper dude, and is one to watch as he makes his stage debut.
