USN falls short at last match of season

Trent Boysen
Tiger Golf participated in their last match of the regular season against FRA. Our boys team continues in cruise control, playing about to their average which is not a bad thing as we head to the District Tournament on Monday. Will Barrett led the team with a 36, followed closely by Will Meyer with a stellar 39. Ultimately though we were not able to find the score and fell to FRA, 179 to 137. Anne Griffin was our only girl today and although late to the start (she passed drivers test and now has a permit!) Way to go Anne! In fact she scurried out of her car and teed off on the first hole in no more than 45 seconds. As a result of this rush, she carded a triple bogey on the first hole. However, she found her groove and finished with a 5 over par 40. And just for comparison, this was just 4 strokes higher than FRA's best golfer and last year's state champion.
