USN Mathletes among regional top scorers

Congratulations to Kati ’25 and Emily ’24, who placed first in their respective grades, and to all Middle School Mathletes.
USN Middle School Mathletes had a successful day at Austin Peay State University during their regional conference on Thursday, April 11.

“In fact, this was the most fruitful contest I've seen in the time I've worked with the Tigers, and my hat is off to each and every participant for giving their very best both mathematically and in the way they conducted themselves. It was a pleasure to accompany them to APSU,” said their coach Maria Wolfgang.

Out of 20 participating teams, the eighth grade team earned third place and the sixth grade team earned first place.

There were approximately 80 students competing at each grade level. Incredibly, USN had eight students place in the Top 10 of their respective grades. Congratulations to all Mathletes:
Maya Giles ’23 (fifth place)
Jacob Horwitz ’24
Josh Jacobs ’23 (sixth place)
Caroline Keiper ’25 (fifth place)
