Let our librarians help you find a great book

by Kate Pritchard, MS/HS Librarian

Faculty and staff book recommendations are on display in the Garrison Reading Room of the Hassenfeld Library. Students and parents can also use the library website to find suggested reads.

Are you looking for the perfect book to read over the winter break or the perfect gift to give your book-loving child? Let the USN librarians help. Our current display in the Hassenfeld Library features great recommendations by USN faculty and staff members. Books include new titles like “The Awakened Family” and “The Great Alone” as well as classics like “Siddhartha” and “Rumble Fish.” Browse the list or come in and see the display in the Garrison Reading Room for yourself.

We also have a wealth of resources on our library website. Our What Should I Read? LibGuide offers our own curated booklists on a range of genres and topics, for Lower School, Middle School, and High School students, plus links to lots of award lists and other review sources.

Finally, for a personal touch, you can submit a request for a book recommendation, and our librarians will respond within two school days with several suggestions just for you.

Happy reading!
