A recap of recent games and other athletics news.
Cross Country opens the 2017 campaign at the Voyles Classic on Saturday, Aug. 26. Race times are Varsity Girls at 9:15 a.m., Varsity Boys at 10 a.m., and JV at 10:45 a.m. at Sharp Springs Park in Smyrna.

Golf… opened the match season two weeks ago against Pope John Paul II and Lipscomb Academy and earned two victories. Joe Orem ’19 carded the low round of the match with a 38. The next week the team got off to a great start, but the Tigers suffered a 156-150 setback against rival Franklin Road Academy, picking up some great takeaways from the early season contest. The team is back in action on Saturday, Aug. 26 at the Franklin Simpson Invitational in Bowling Green, Ky.

Girls’ Soccer… is off to a hot start, going 4-0 between both the JV and Varsity squads and outscoring opponents 21-2. The team picked up a big win Tuesday, Aug. 22 against Brentwood Academy, 2-1 on the road. The team will play at home 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28 against a new region opponent Knowledge Academy.

Volleyball… opened the year against three challenging district opponents, hosting Davidson Academy, Goodpasture Christian and Mount Juliet Christian, all in the same week. Check out highlights from the matches on the Varsity and JV team pages. The Tigers began a five-match road swing Tuesday, Aug. 22 at Donelson Christian with a 3-1 win as Caroline Sigmund '19 served out the match for the Tigers.
