Support winter sports through Tiger Club

Join our athletic booster known as Tiger Club for access to this season's basketball, swimming, and hockey games and to support all teams at USN. Membership begins at $100/year per household and can be purchased here. Tiger Club helps pay for upgrades to our athletic facilities, coordinates concessions sales, and sponsors sports recognition evenings. Also consider volunteering to run the concession stand during basketball games.

Tiger Club is proud to be 107 members strong and have raised over $27,000 through our membership dues. With those funds raised, we have surged toward our goals of financially supporting our Athletics Department and fostering K-12 school spirit through sports.

On the investment side, we are excited to announce that we purchased a sports organization app, Ball Frog, that will centralize and streamline all of the information pertaining to our High School and Middle School athletic programming. It will have the capability to provide up-to-date scheduling, team rosters, spotlight articles on our athletes, internal messaging, and much more. Further, it will have an athlete/coach login as well as spectator accounts enabling any fan to find the roster and schedule of any MS/HS team they wish to follow. This app will be available and accessible to all USN parents, administrators, and students.

Additionally, the Tiger Club is pleased to have purchased a mobile cart that we envision will be used at River Campus to sell concessions at events further from the physical concessions stand. We also hope to stock it with items a spectator may need at River Campus such as umbrellas, hat, and blankets. The cart needs to be jazzed-up in Tiger Club spirit style, but we are hoping to have it ready for use in our upcoming spring sports season.

Besides making a financial impact on our sports programming, we have also focused our efforts on fostering school spirit. With that in mind, we have just implemented a new Tiger Cub program whereby Lower School students can be recognized and share in the experience of a High School basketball team during one of its games. The Tiger Cub of the game is announced with the High School team and receives a special present from them as well. It’s quickly become one of our favorite ways to bring Lower School and High School students together.

We have more initiatives on the table such as a lecture series for athletes with ideas for topics such as: nutrition, injury prevention, education around concussions, and college sports recruiting. Additionally, we are hoping to collaborate and bring back an old but loved spirit event, the color run, in the spring. Finally, Tiger Club continues to sponsor the Middle School and High School Sports Awards nights as well as organize concessions at the MS/HS sports events. We all know that snacks and drinks make every game better; so, on that note, please sign up here to help run concessions during the Middle School basketball games. Your Lower and Middle School students can join you, too, and they will have a blast volunteering.

And finally, while we are proud to have over 100 members so far, we are also hopeful that our numbers will continue to rise. So, if you haven’t already, we would love for you to join us in supporting our USN student-athletes by becoming a Tiger Club member today.
