E Club sells reusable USN-branded bags

Proceeds from USN Bookstore sales of the bright green bags will help the Environmental Club fund composting at school.
by Anabella Barocas ’19, Environmental Club president

The new USN reusable bag is a collaboration between the High School Environmental Club, known as E Club, and the USN Bookstore in an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic bags that go to the landfill from the USN community. Each green bag is $15 and can be purchased in person at the USN Bookstore or by clicking here.

The High School E Club works to make USN more sustainable by facilitating projects and educational conversations. One of its biggest initiatives this year is creating a sustainable composting program for the Sperling Cafeteria. Eventually, students hope to have composting bins each USN building. All proceeds from purchases will support composting pickup services and liners for compost bins from Compost Nashville.

This year's active E Club members are:

Oscar Fox '21
Sam Horner '20
Esha Karam '21
Mia Pretorius '19
