Good luck to High School varsity boys' basketball as the team takes on Goodpasture Christian School in the DII-A region semifinals on Friday, February 18. And congratulations to DII-A District 3 tournament Most Valuable Player Adam Miller '22, Josh Scretchen '22 for making the all-tournament team, and Josh and Adrian Samuels '22 for being placed on the all-district team.
Anna Hulan '25, Olivia Barbieri '25 and two girls' relays earned spots in the finals. The girls' 400 free relay broke the 1996 school record, and overall the team swam 80% lifetime bests.
In one of the most anticipated moments in a swimmer's season, 19 Tigers took to the water at the region meet. The girls' squad took home fifth place, marking the school's first top five finish since 2014. Of the 32 individual events swam, 27 clocked in season records, all six relays were season best finishes too, and Anna Hulan '25 secured a spot on the all-region team. Students in grades K-4 are invited to join USN's winter basketball league for a fun and engaging opportunity to focus on game play fundamentals such as shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense. League play begins in late January, and registration is open now.
